IFOY 2015: Jungheinrich Nominated in All Categories
Once again, Jungheinrich is showcasing its innovative prowess in the fields of forklift trucks, warehousing equipment and sophisticated intralogistics solutions this year at the International Forklift Truck of the Year-Award (IFOY) 2015. The Hamburg-based company has been nominated for an award in all four categories by the international jury, which is staffed by high-calibre experts. “This underscores the leading role played by Jungheinrich in the field of intralogistics. Most importantly, the substantial customer benefit provided by our products and services sets a benchmark,” emphasizes Dr. Lars Brzoska, member of Jungheinrich Board of Management responsible for sales.

Jungheinrich’s entry in the Counter Balanced Trucks up to 3.5 Tons category is its EFG S30s battery-powered forklift. Centre stage in the refinement of the predecessor generation was taken by the driver. True to the motto “Operation in Mind,” Jungheinrich developed a completely revised, highly ergonomic and innovative operator environment.

In the category Counter Balanced Trucks from 3.5 Tons, Jungheinrich is presenting its DFG 540s diesel-powered forklift to the IFOY jury. The truck was heavily revised. Among the highlights of this generation is also an all-new, highly ergonomic and innovative operator environment. Thanks to the new generation of Jungheinrich controls, the company succeeded in optimizing the truck’s setup, making the high-tech diesel truck even more efficient and environmentally friendly.

In the Warehouse Trucks category, Jungheinrich is represented by a completely new development. The ECE 225, a horizontal order-picker, focuses on pick performance, energy efficiency and workplace design, featuring numerous ergonomic innovations.
Jungheinrich’s entry in the Intralogistics Solutions 2015 category is a complete tow train solution. This end-to-end logistics solution, which is being used by VEMAG Maschinenbau GmbH, Verden (Aller), covers everything from a needs analysis and the exact planning and design of the process to truck selection and the provision of the tow tractors. The new logistic solution in use at VEMAG includes tow train loading, supplying the production areas and the needs-based return of empties and is implemented with tow tractors (EZS 350) and trailers (GTE) manufactured by Jungheinrich.

The IFOY Awards are taking place for the third time this year. Jungheinrich won the prestigious award in several categories in both 2013 and 2014—in the Counter Balanced Trucks up to and from 3.5 Tons as well as in the Warehouse Trucks category.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, logistics systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
