Bosch Rexroth to Present Advanced Technology Portfolio at FABTECH 2021

Bosch Rexroth will feature working technology demos and new product exhibits in two booth locations. Bosch Rexroth will exhibit its latest machine control and connected hydraulics technology for fabricating, forming, bending, shape cutting and welding machines at FABTECH 2021, September 13-16, at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL.

Bosch Rexroth to Present Advanced Technology Portfolio at FABTECH 2021

Bosch Rexroth will have a substantial presence at FABTECH 2021, North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating welding and finishing industry event. The company will have separate booths in two exhibition areas:

  • Booth B37015 in the North Hall, presenting the latest welding controls and automation technology.
  • Booth A3124 in the South Hall, for forming and fabricating, with the full-scale Connected Hydraulics Roadshow trailer presenting the latest smart, networked hydraulics and manufacturing technology.

With these two booths, Bosch Rexroth will showcase its advanced portfolio of controls, drives and hydraulic systems and solutions, designed to improve the efficiency, productivity and safety of a broad range of metal forming and fabricating applications.

Highlights of Booth B37015 include exhibits and demos of Rexroth’s recently introduced PRC7000 adaptive resistance welding control system. This advanced, Industry 4.0-ready system features a dual-processor architecture for process control and communications to enable high data transfer rates without affecting the welding process control.

The PRC7000 lets automotive manufacturers and others using high-throughput automated welding systems benefit from faster commissioning, advanced adaptability and energy efficiency, with both the highest-quality weld control and 90% faster, more user-friendly commissioning.

In the South Hall, Bosch Rexroth will be presenting its advanced hydraulics and automation capabilities for metal forming and fabricating with the Connected Hydraulics Roadshow “technology on wheels“ in Booth A3124.

The Connected Hydraulics Roadshow is a self-contained exhibit housed in a specially created tractor-trailer that is designed to present a full array of Bosch Rexroth’s smart, networked hydraulics technology and is making its debut at FABTECH 2021.

Exhibits and demos in the Roadshow trailer include a complete, multitechnology, functional model of Connected Hydraulics motion control, as well as these exhibits on featured Rexroth industrial hydraulics and automation products:

  • CytroBox hydraulic power unit: This compact power unit offers energy savings up to 80 percent and is fully networked with Rexroth’s industrial hydraulic IoT solution, CytroConnect.
  • Sytronix FcP variable-speed pump drive: This system consists of a fixed pump with an asynchronous motor and a frequency converter that offers energy savings of up to 80% and noise reduction up to 20 dB(A).
  • CytroPac hydraulic power unit: CytroPac is a compact HPU designed to be drop-in ready for a broad range of flow and pressure applications, including machine tools. It features an efficient Sytronix variable-speed pump drive, i4.0-enabled interface and a simplified cooling and degassing tank design.
  • ctrlX AUTOMATION: Rexroth’s groundbreaking new automation platform surmounts the classic boundaries between machine controls, the IT world and the Internet of Things and features a Linux real-time operating system, consistently open standards, app programming technology and IoT connectivity capability that reduces components and engineering costs by 30 to 50%.

Visitors to both Bosch Rexroth booths will have the opportunity to consult one-on-one with Rexroth technology experts with deep backgrounds in welding automation, hydraulics and control systems. They will be able to provide practical recommendations and new ideas about how the company’s technology can help manufacturers solve persistant quality, throughput and productivity issues in their weld, metal forming and fabricating operations.
