With its JOYSCAPE joystick platform and extensive add-on options, RAFI is able to implement custom control solutions for any application purpose and with optimum ergonomics for the job.
Four differently dimensioned platform modules cover all use cases in various industries such as mechanical engineering, medical technology or construction and agricultural machinery. For heavy-duty applications, RAFI uses its JOYSCAPE ROUGH model with a shock resistance of 110 Nm. Ergonomic multifunction joysticks developed in close cooperation with the customer ensure easy and intuitive operation even under the toughest conditions.
For challenging but less rugged applications, the joystick platform offers the versatile JOYSCAPE MULTI basic model. This version is also available with customized handles. Depending on requirements, the manufacturer can install thumb joysticks, rockers, pushbuttons and other actuator or signal elements. Where installation space is tight and control tricky, JOYSCAPE BASIC with free tilt function in the x/y plane is the optimal solution. The smallest model in the range is the compact thumb joystick JOYSCAPE TINY. It is designed for flexible integration into joystick handles or other control elements. All variants use wear-free 3D Hall sensors for motion detection.
They have an operating life of up to five million actuation cycles. For high safety requirements, the sensor system is also available in a redundant design. The ferromagnetic steel housing effectively shields the sensor system, providing additional ruggedness. The joysticks are fully manufactured in-house and configured with various rockers, angles of deflection, operating forces or control components. This is how RAFI ensures seamless integration of its products into diverse customer systems. Optional extras are also available such as illuminated handles for work at night, capacitive hand detection to avoid operating errors and easy-clean folding bellows for hygienically sensitive areas.
