NORD DRIVESYSTEMS at the FMB 2018
Robust and intelligent drives for every application
At the FMB in the Bad Salzuflen exhibition centre from 7 to 9 November 2018, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS will be exhibiting a wide range of drive units for more than 100 industries - from intralogistics, the food and textile industries to woodworking. Product highlights include the NORDAC LINK decentralised field distributor series, smart drives with condition monitoring, ATEX products, as well as nsd tupH surface treatment.
The wide range of products from NORD includes geared motors, motors, industrial gear units, as well as central and decentralised drive electronics. The latter includes the NORDAC LINK field distributor series with freely configurable frequency inverters (up to 7.5 kW) and motor starters (up to 3 kW), that include an integrated PLC. The devices can be flexibly adapted to various applications and are installed close to the motor. Thanks to their full plug-in capability as well as optional maintenance switches and manual control options, the devices enable simple commissioning, operation and maintenance.
Drive technology with PLC on-board
NORD decentralised frequency inverters are equipped with multiple interfaces and are ideal for Industry 4.0 applications. The integrated PLC can reduce the load on the higher level control and enables a modular automation concept. It is freely programmable and able to process data from connected sensors and actuators and, if necessary, it directly initiates a sequence control. The drives communicate their status data via the control system or into a secure cloud. NORD drives can therefore be used for continuous condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. The intelligently networked drives are currently in use in pilot projects for NORD Industry 4.0 applications.
Modular ATEX drives
NORD supplies individually configured drive systems in accordance with EU Directive 2014/34/EU and IEC Ex for use in explosive atmospheres. The explosion protected drive systems can be operated in category 2D or 3D dust atmospheres (Zones 21 and 22) as well as in category 2G or 3G gas atmospheres (Zones 1 and 2).
Corrosion resistant drives with nsd tupH
NORD has developed the nsd tupH anti-corrosion treatment for use in demanding environments and industries with high hygiene standards. The innovative surface treatment makes aluminium drives as corrosion resistant as stainless steel. Unlike paints or coatings, nothing can flake off and the robust drive units are easy to clean. Contact with aggressive media is not a problem.
NORD will be presenting its robust and intelligent drives at the FMB in Hall 20 on Stand D2.2.
