Mitsubishi Electric to Showcase Latest Manufacturing Technologies at JIMTOF 2026
Mitsubishi Electric will showcase its latest manufacturing technologies at the 33rd Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2026), which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from October 26 to 31, 2026. Under the theme “Automating the World: Powering Continuous Innovation in Your Manufacturing,” the company will present a range of products and solutions that support manufacturers throughout the production lifecycle.

Mitsubishi Electric Booth at JIMTOF 2026
The exhibition will highlight Mitsubishi Electric’s work alongside customers as a long-term partner in their digital transformation journeys. Drawing on the results of this co-engineering approach, the company will demonstrate how it combines technology with ongoing support to help manufacturers improve productivity and quality-from design and prototyping through production and maintenance.
Visitors will be able to explore the latest developments in computerized numerical controller (CNC), electrical discharge machine (EDM), additive manufacturing (AM), and laser processing at booth S2003 in South Hall 2.
Key Exhibits:
1. Computerized Numerical Controller (CNC)

Mitsubishi Electric will present a wide range of innovative AI-based and digital technologies designed to reduce labor requirements at each stage of production. These exhibits will include AI and simulation tools that streamline design and prototyping, alongside machining technologies that improve productivity, achieve more consistent quality, and enable workers to focus on more complex tasks.
Visitors can also learn how Mitsubishi Electric supports manufacturers after equipment enters operation through maintenance, after-sales services, and dedicated remote support. The company will also present cybersecurity solutions designed to create secure and resilient production environments.
2. Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM)

The Mitsubishi Electric team will demonstrate two examples of EDM technology at the show: the MG12R high-precision wire EDM and the SV12P high-precision die-sinker EDM. The SV12P features a new control system that improves dimensional accuracy and shortens machining times.
Alongside these machines, the company will present a newly developed scheduling tool. Designed specifically to support automated machine operation, the tool will help customers manage and improve their machining workflows.
3. Additive Manufacturing (AM)

Among the highlights of Mitsubishi Electric’s AM offerings at JIMTOF 2026 will be the AZ Series wire-laser metal 3D printers. These printers use Directed Energy Deposition (DED) and Mitsubishi Electric’s proprietary process control technology to enable high-speed, high-precision additive manufacturing. Since they use commercially available welding wire as feedstock, these printers make material handling more straightforward than systems that use loose metal powder.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see sample components, including larger parts produced using the AZ1200, and explore how the technology could meet their own manufacturing needs.
4. Laser Processing and Electron Beam Welding

Mitsubishi Electric will demonstrate its latest laser-processing technologies and functional upgrades designed to support stable, high-speed, high-quality production. The company will show how new AI-enabled technologies can support greater automation and reduce reliance on operator skill, making demanding processes easier to manage and easing the workload for production teams.
The exhibition will also feature precision electron-beam welding samples that demonstrate how manufacturers can improve component quality and reduce costs by minimizing distortion and oxide formation.
Visitors will be able to see all these developments and speak directly with Mitsubishi Electric experts at booth S2003 in South Hall 2.
