With the new “Size 2” cable adapter, HARTING expands the application range of the Han 1A system. The adapter enables the integration of cables with outer diameters from 10 to 13 mm into the existing connector design.

The adapter consists of a sealing element and a clamping nut and is fully compatible with all Han 1A contact inserts. Its design allows flexible adaptation to different cable sizes without modifying the existing interface.

Applications in machinery and rail
Typical applications of Han 1A include three-phase drives in machinery as well as rail applications where cables with thicker insulation are required. With the addition of the cable adapter, the system can now be used in scenarios with higher performance requirements.

Compact screw-in housing for simplified installation
HARTING also introduces a new screw-in housing for the Han 1A series. The housing is designed for use in compact motors, drives, and control cabinet applications, enabling near tool-free installation.

Installation is carried out via an M20 through-hole, for example in motor terminal boxes or control cabinets, and secured with an M20 locknut. The angled design facilitates integration in confined installation spaces.

Modularity and system integration
The Han 1A series is based on a modular design and is suitable for connecting sensors, drives, door systems, and lighting. The new housing is fully compatible with all existing contact inserts in the Han 1A range.

These enhancements support integration into modern industrial environments where compact design, flexible connectivity, and simplified installation are key requirements.
