ANDRITZ AG to Supply Tissue Lines to Koro Viet Nam Tissue Paper Joint Stock Company

ANDRITZ AG has received an order from Koro Viet Nam Tissue Paper Joint Stock Company to supply two tissue production lines for the company’s new mill in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.

The new production lines will support Koro’s entry into the tissue paper market, with start-up scheduled for the first half of 2027. The order value has not been disclosed and was recorded in ANDRITZ’s fourth-quarter 2025 order intake.

High-speed tissue production capability
The two production lines, TM5 and TM6, are designed for high-efficiency manufacturing of premium toilet paper, napkins, handkerchiefs and facial tissues.

Each line will feature:

  • Paper width: 3,650 mm
  • Maximum operating speed: 1,650 m/min
  • Daily design capacity: 104.2 tonnes per day
  • Basis weight range: 11.5–32 g/m²

The machines will process pre-dried virgin pulp to produce high-quality tissue products.

Advanced machinery and automation
ANDRITZ’s supply scope includes a complete process solution covering:

  • Stock preparation systems, including the PrimeRefine HC T high-consistency refining system
  • Approach flow, fiber recovery and broke systems
  • Two PrimeLineCOMPACT M 1600 tissue machines
  • Integrated automation systems

These technologies are designed to reduce long-fiber consumption, lower energy usage and improve operational efficiency, while maintaining consistent paper quality.

Long-term partnership
The project continues nearly two decades of cooperation between ANDRITZ and Ngo Huu Phuong, Chairman of Koro Viet Nam.

In July 2025, ANDRITZ supplied a 500 t/d OCC/PMA line for Koro’s PM2 packaging paper production line.

With this latest order, ANDRITZ now has sixth and seventh tissue machine references in Vietnam, reinforcing its presence in the region’s growing pulp and paper industry.

Expansion of Vietnam’s tissue market
Viet Nam Koro Paper Joint Stock Company focuses on producing core paper and aims to expand into specialty and tissue paper products for domestic and export markets.

The establishment of Koro Viet Nam Tissue Paper Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of the group, reflects the company’s strategy to expand into the tissue segment and develop premium paper products.
