Few companies can claim a milestone of this magnitude. Since the iconic date of November 25th, 2000, the plant has produced 725,000 engines, playing a decisive role in the industrial history of Latin America and providing tangible support for the energy transition. The facility manufactures engines for the on-road, off-road, and power generation segments, and is home to the production of globally renowned engines from the F1, NEF Series and S8000 lines, which power commercial vehicles, agricultural and construction machines, as well as G-Drives for power generation.

The facility stands out for its adoption of advanced manufacturing methodologies, combining quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Aligned with the Brand’s decarbonization strategy in Latin America, it also leads the development of biofuel technologies such as ethanol, natural gas, and biomethane.

“Sete Lagoas is the heart of FPT in Latin America. Every achievement along the way fills us with pride, as they celebrate the talent and commitment of the people who, for 25 years, have driven efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in our operations,” said Carlos Tavares, President of FPT for Latin America.

“Each engine produced in Sete Lagoas represents more than power: it is the result of teamwork and knowledge. As we look ahead, we remain committed to advancing technology, and delivering value to our customers, to drive the future of energy and mobility in Latin America,” Jeanie Gonçalves, Sete Lagoas Plant Manager, commented.

The plant, which employs 250 people, is the beating heart of the Brand’s production in Latin America, and spans a total area of 68,372 m², housing state-of-the-art facilities and production lines. Since its inauguration, the plant has been in continuous evolution: from its beginnings through to production of next-generation engines, every stage has been marked by innovation. A testament to this innovation is the plant’s ability to power leading customers across the region, including among the others Iveco, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, Iveco Bus, Marcopolo, Agrale, New Holland, Case IH, CASE Construction Equipment, Brasif, Landini, Pauny, Caimán, Himoinsa, Generac, PowGen, and Pramac: a portfolio that FPT is proud to serve, consolidating its role as a key driver of performance and reliability in multiple industries.

With 25 years of achievements, FPT reaffirms its role as a partner to industry, the community, and the environment. However, Sete Lagoas is not just about production and technology. The plant also stands out for its commitment to people, with initiatives such as the FPT Program, developed in partnership with the Sete Lagoas Municipal Technical School, thanks to which the company offers technical training and fosters young talent. Since 2024, the program has involved over 100 people, inspiring future engineers and industry professionals.
Sustainability is key, and many projects have been carried out in this area; notably, in 2024 alone the Brand replaced wooden packaging with reusable metal structures, preventing the disposal of 16 tons of wood, reducing emissions, and strengthening the circular economy.

In Brazil, FPT produces 40% of its units for the Iveco Group, and the remaining 60% for third parties, serving a wide range of customers across the country. This is supported by a robust network of 150 distributors and service points, ensuring reliable local support.
